In October 2019 after a win in the "GrandMasters 2019 Season 2 - Asia-Pacific" tournament, he recieved a disqualification and a yearlong ban from Blizzard after wearing a gas mask on stream and stating “Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our time”. This action by Blizzard created a controversy and was widely criticized in the non-Chinese community. A few days later Blizzard decided to emasculate the initial sentence.
