Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan is a Pakistani Dota 2 player. He is currently the mid player for Evil Geniuses.
Sumail first began playing Dota in Pakistan. He didn't have his own computer, so he would pile onto a small motorbike with his cousin and friends and travel to an internet cafe together. At one point, he sold his bicycle in order to purchase more playing time. Sumail's father was eventually able to move his family to the United States.
Upon arriving in the US, Sumail began playing in the North American Elite League and quickly established himself as one of the best upcoming players in North America. As a result, Sumail was recruited into Evil Geniuses on January 5, 2015. He established himself and his team as a force to be reckoned with when they won the Dota Asia Championships a month later.
Evil Geniuses came into The International 2015 as one of the two teams favored to win, the other being Team Secret. They were knocked down into the lower bracket by the wildcard team CDEC Gaming. But after defeating LGD Gaming and winning the rematch against CDEC Gaming, Evil Geniuses took home roughly $6.6 million, with Sumail's share a little over $1.3 million. At 16 years old, Sumail became the youngest professional gamer to win $1 million.
